Keluarga

William Smyth lahir di 42 Great Peter Street, Westminster, London. Ia adalah anak tunggal dari Joseph Smyth dan Georgina Caroline Pitt Pilkington, cucu dari penulis Irlandia Laetitia Pilkington dan suami Matthew Pilkington, keduanya anak kesayangan dari Jonathan Swift.
