Joseph Cheshire Cotten (15. maj 1905 – 6. februar 1994.) bio je američki kazališni i filmski glumac. Najpoznatiji je po suradnji s Orsonom Wellesom, koja je uključivala uloge u klasičnim filmovima kao Citizen Kane, The Third Man, Magnificent Ambersons i Journey into Fear, a za koga je napisao scenarij. Također je imao plodnu suradnju s Alfredom Hitchcockom. Karijeru je započeo na Broadwayu, nastupivši u originalnim postavama komada The Philadelphia Story i Sabrina Fair.
