Araceae (porodica kozlaca) je evoluciono primitivna porodica monokotiledonih skrivenosemenica iz reda Alismatales. Obuhvata 106 rodova sa preko 4000 vrsta^[1], od kojih se mnoge zahvaljujući velikim listovima i zanimljivim cvastima gaje kao ukrasne, sobne biljke.

Filogenija i klasifikacija porodice

porodica se deli na sedam potporodica, od kojih je rodovima i vrstama najbrojnija Aroideae. Najprimitivnije potporodice su Gymnostachydoideae i Orontioideae. Od ostatka porodice morfološki najudaljenija je potporodica Lemnoideae.
